The Architecture

A hypnotic metrosexual ap�ritif unlike anything in our oeuvre. Its key aroma is absinthe---the tart, licorice-flavored liqueur, which we've gently sweetened with black currant, mandarin, and violet, and softened with amber and tonka bean. Famed as an aphrodisiac, absinthe is also a legendary creativity enhancer. Van Gogh, Monet, Picasso, and Hemingway all fell under its spell. And as Baz Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge reminds us, indulging in la f�e verte (the green fairy), as absinthe was known in Belle �poque Paris, had such a narcotic effect that cocktail time came to be called l'heure verte (the green hour)�a reference to the potion's dazzling green color.
